This attractive small shrub, generally growing from 1-2metres tall and making a rounded bush shape, needs moist, well drained soil in a sunny or lightly shaded position. It is very showy when in flower and attracts many insects and thereby birds to the garden. Its flowers are a soft buttery yellow colour. It can be hard pruned to maintain shape, and makes a useful addition to a screening hedge.
