This pretty little native groundcover was previously known as a Pratia, and its common name is Whiteroot. It likes shady moist situations and is often one of the first to colonise an area after disturbance such as fire. Male and female flowers are born on separate plants. These white to pale purple flowers are very attractive to butterflies. The underside of the leaves is often purplish too.
