This pretty flowering frost-hardy shrub was previously known as an Eriostemon. In cultivation it makes a bushy dense shrub to 2 metres. It will grow in a range of light sandy soils with reasonable drainage and prefers a sunny to partly shaded position. Its pink flower buds open to showy white stars from Winter into Spring. Although the flowers have no strong perfume the leaves are beautifully fragrant all year round. Can be lightly pruned after flowering to maintain shape.
