Looking for something fun to do with the family?
The RFS Blue Mountains District is hosting a family fun day at Lawson Public School on Saturday 3rd of September 2022.
The event is free for our community as a way of reconnecting with locals and visitors after 3 years of fires, floods and a pandemic and will feature displays and presentations by local Emergency and Community Services, including; NSW Rural Fire Service, Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW Police, Ambulance NSW, Red Cross, SES, WIRES, Local Land Services (who focus on animal welfare) and Wild-plant.
There will be games and activities for children of all ages (and some for the adult children!)
› tug of war
› activities for children such as decorating handmade spinning tops
› face painting
› free barbecue
› landscaping advice
› a concert band
› Emergency Services Vehicle’s
› Drone (RPAS) simulation
› kitchen fire demonstrations
› fire extinguisher demonstrations
› lucky door prizes several times throughout the day
› lots of give aways
Come along and meet our local Emergency Services, and reconnect with your community and friends.
