Join us for a

Community Briefing & Celebration

Clairvaux is at a crossroads—and your voice matters.

Join Elders, the Blue Mountains Community Land Trust (BMCLT), and Wild Plant Rescue for a day of culture and connection as we once again rally to keep Clairvaux in Community Hands.

“This land holds stories of survival and strength,” says Aunty Carol Cooper. “It must remain in community hands.”

The government is preparing Clairvaux for divestment, evicting tenants and not staying true to its promise to keep this important site for the community.

We’re calling for a moratorium on the divestment of the sites and demanding a community-led future—one rooted in healing, education, and environmental stewardship. Through the BMCLT, we envision Clairvaux as:

  • A permanent home for Wild Plant Rescue
  • Affordable eco-housing for locals
  • A vibrant cultural and community hub

“Clairvaux could be a significant example of how to create community-led ecological and cultural restoration,” says Alison Barnes, Wiradjuri woman and BMCLT committee member.

Come stand with us:

  • 11am: Stalls open — Walanmarra, Wagana Dancers, BBQ by Uncle Ed, coffee cart, cake stall, merch, and Wild Plant Rescue
  • 12pm: Welcome to Country & speeches
  • 1pm: Community briefing with Elders, BMCLT & Wild Plant Rescue — bring your ideas and questions

“We want to bring back beautiful memories for the community,” says Aunty Carol. “It’s not just us—it’s everybody that needs help.”

📣 Volunteers needed! Join the new Clairvaux Bushcare group led by Aunty Carol. Email: clairvauxfriends@gmail.com or find us on Facebook: Friends of Clairvaux.

Let’s make sure Clairvaux remains a place of community, regeneration, and renewal—for generations to come.
